Sleep is really precious. When I am awaken at all hours of the night, due to my five month old, I really begin to crave a good night’s rest.
And on this particular night of January 17th, I still couldn’t sleep. Why was my mind racing? Why couldn’t I just shut off my brain and get my much needed rest? Just an hour of shut-eye before the baby awakens is all I need!
But then I started getting butterflies. I started thinking on what I really love to do. I started reminiscing on the joy of putting all my thoughts down in a communicable manner. And sharing it with others.
It came to me.
That I should start writing again. I sprung up from my bed and realized, “You love to write. You get so happy when you have finished work. And you love the feedback you get from others”
Due to a remodel on my home, I recently moved to Point Loma. When I first saw this home on the rental market, there was no way that I could pass up the opportunity to live here.
This house was right on the sand. The calming and soothing effect of living right on the water was evident.
I immediately turned to my husband and told him that I am going to start writing again.
But saying is one thing and doing is another.
Which leads me up to this point, three months after my move here to Point Loma. Three months go by without a thought or two about writing, until this evening.
Vianca’s Joy
That is what will be my blog’s name, Vianca’s Joy. Vianca being my first name and Joy my middle name. And writing being Vianca’s joy.
But I already had started a blog in the past. I scoured my brain trying to remember the website. Was it Vianca’s thoughts? Vianca’s ramblings?
Nope, it was indeed ViancaJoy.
So I already had home-base set up, but just like anything you want in life, it takes practice and practice to hone in on a skill.
Hopefully years won’t pass by between my next blog entries and hopefully this place will be remodeled too, with new writing, and new posts.
But until then, I will enjoy my new home, and gather the inspiration to continue in sharing my writing.

Writing is soothing to ones mind. To express your thoughts and emotions on paper is not only therapeutic for you but the reader. I love you and love reading these. It definitely mskes me realize I need to step back and have faith.
