I wasn’t always confident in myself. Matter of fact, I had no confidence at all, and my self-esteem was usually at a low point. I used to be terribly shy and always doubting myself, doubting my opinions, my likes, doubting everything about me.
People would always tell me how quiet I was, and really it was true, I never spoke up.
I felt I had nothing of value to say because my self worth was so low.
I was an insecure girl growing up and that carried over into adulthood. I am not going to put a blame on my past or my upbringing because it really shaped who I am. And I am only touching on my past to tell you that if I, someone who was afraid to make a peep, now, writing out all my thoughts and opinions for everyone to see, without fear of judgement, then YOU, you can do anything you want to do.
The process of falling in love with myself wasn’t an overnight thing. I am still on the journey of bettering myself, some days are great, and others not so great…but really, how sweet is that journey?
A journey of PROGRESS, rather than stagnation or regression.
To be consciously aware of how you want your life to look like
To make choices that will support that view
And knowing that you are capable of anything you set your mind to
I have “flaws”, I have weaknesses, I have issues just like any other person, but it is in these “shortcomings” that they become your STRENGTH
Your past, your failed relationships, the hurt you’ve endured makes you who you are
To quote Dr. Seuss
Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You
You are unique. You are talented. You have everything within you to set the world ablaze. You are EXACTLY what the world needs at this moment.
I mean what is the point of me telling you all this?
The point is we have greatness within each one of us, anyone is capable of great things, and that drive and desire gets buried beneath our self-imposed bullshit. We’ve forgotten the power that each one of us hold. We’ve forgotten that once we fall in love with ourselves, amazing things will happen.
If God created the magnificent oceans, the beautiful mountains, the amazing forests, If God who created all of these things, that we love and enjoy; what do you think He had in mind when He created YOU? What do you think he has in store for YOU?
A human in His own image, the image of beauty, awesomeness, and amazingness. A human capable of thought and reason, an intellectual capable of contributing such beauty to this already magnificent world.
Do you think your hardships were meant to deter you and stifle you in life? Or do you believe that they were just seeds planted to sprout you into the best version of yourself?
You owe it to yourself to take the world by storm. Find out about your strengths, find out about your talents, find out what makes you happy.
I mean why do I even go through this? A mother of four who barely has time to sit and collect my own thoughts, and nonetheless deliver it to you all?
It’s because I LOVE IT!!! It’s challenging, it’s fun, it’s therapeutic, it gives me meaning, and best of all, the feedback I get from you all, whether it’s online or in-person, makes me so happy!
I thrive in making others feel amazing about themselves and I thrive in helping others realize there is greatness within.
There is SO much beauty in the world, but it is missing the talents that are buried within you.
Do us a favor by showcasing your God-given talents, and do this by falling in love with yourself.
